Bob grew up in Brownsville, Ontario and attended Brownsville Continuation School followed by Tillsonburg Business School. He went on to work at Howden’s Wholesale Hardware. After basic training, he became a salesman for D.H. Howden Company where he stayed until he retired after 40 years of service. During his teen years he drove a dump truck for the building of the Fanshawe Dam and drove a logging truck for his father’s cheese box business. In his leisure time he enjoyed singing in the Grey Bruce Singers choir, for 40+ years, as well as singing in the choirs for United Churches in Tillsonburg and Walkerton. Bob loved snowmobiling, riding his motorcycle and spending time at his beloved cottage. He was a Mason, Shriner and church elder. He will be remembered for his love of the Toronto Maple Leafs, popcorn, black licorice and music.
Special thanks to the staff of both Six Central and Three North wards for their excellent care of Dad and the family.
