Cecil George Clarke of Listowel passed away peacefully at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, in his 87th year.
Husband of Barbara (White) Clarke.
Father of Mary Lou Blakney & Nick Lefor of Atwood, and Cecile & Doug DeBoer of Ethel, stepfather of Liz & Don Verge of Newfoundland, Mike & Cathy Gregory of Listowel, and Carrie & Scott Sharpin of Listowel, and stepfather-in-law of Doris Gregory of Kurtzville.
Also sadly missed by 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Brother of Vivian Laidlaw of Mitchell, and Linda Clarke of Listowel, and brother-in-law of Marg Clarke of Brussels.
Predeceased by his first wife Louise (Mitchell) Clarke, son Charles Clarke, stepson Ken Gregory, brother Harvey Clarke, sister Ruth & Russell Kirkpatrick, and brother-in-law Kenneth Laidlaw.
Visitation was held at Listowel Pentecostal Church on Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. where the funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. The service was live-streamed, and the link available on the funeral home website.
Interment in Fairview Cemetery, Listowel.
