October 15, 1969 – August 17, 2026
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Sidney Roy Alexander, of Glammis, at South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Kincardine, on August 17, 2026, at the age of 66.
Sidney was a kind, easy-going and laid-back man who was happiest enjoying the simple things in life. Following in his dad’s footsteps, Sidney became a truck driver, a career he took great pride in. He enjoyed talking about trucking and sharing stories from his years on the road. He also had a love of hunting, trapping and the outdoors, and cherished the time spent pursuing the things he enjoyed.
Sidney was the beloved brother of Steven Alexander (Pat), Randy Alexander (Karen), Richard Alexander (Patti), Stuart Alexander (Nancy), and Sandra (Kevin) Stewart, as well as much missed uncle to 12 nieces and nephews. He will be fondly remembered by his family and friends for his relaxed nature, his stories, and his easy-going spirit.
Sidney was predeceased by his parents, James and Eileen (née Stewart) Alexander. Sidney will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by his family and all who knew him.
Family and friends gathered at Davey-Linklater Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., for visitation, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 p.m.
Interment in Purdy Cemetery in Brockton.
