It is with great sadness we announce passing of Mary Jane (Casserly) Irwin of Listowel on Saturday, July 13, 2024, in her 63rd year.
Beloved wife of Claude Irwin.
Cherished mother of Melissa & Kevin Zondervan of Kitchener, and Stephanie Irwin & Chris Viegas of Hamilton. Devoted Nana of Owen, Tyra & Caleb, Scott & Hailey, Keelan, and Vincent, and great-grandmother of Claude Silas.
Sister of Jim & Tricia Casserly of Wingham, Bernard Jr. & Sue Casserly of Sudbury, Ed & Tina Casserly of Ripley, and Eileen & Louie Greenough of Copper Cliff, Ontario.
Mary Jane will be missed also by Claude’s siblings and remembered fondly by her nieces and nephews and their families.
Predeceased by her parents Bernard & Helen (Boyle) Casserly, and niece Rebecca ‘Lucy’ Casserly.
Mary Jane was born in Sudbury, Ontario, of December 31, 1961. She was raised in Naughton, Ontario, and married her soulmate on August 9, 1980. They built a beautiful family with their two daughters, and eventually were blessed by the perks of grandchildren and a great-grandson.
Visitation will be held at Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel, on Friday, July 26th from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Trinity United Church, Listowel on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. with reception to follow. The service will be livestreamed and the link available on the funeral home website.
The Irwin family extends special thanks to all the wonderful nurses and staff at London, Stratford, and Listowel Hospitals.
Memorial donations to Shriners Hospitals for Children, would be appreciated.
