Marianne Yvonne Seegers of Listowel, and formerly of Richmond, B.C., and Acton, Ontario, passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, in her 67th year.
Daughter of the late Jan and Nelly (Tjaarda) Seegers. Sister of Peggy Dier of Richmond, B.C., and aunt of Carla, Brenda, Amanda, Marika, and Anthony.
Marianne was predeceased by her brother Rudy (2015). Loved by her family and extended family in British Columbia and the Netherlands, and missed by her dear friends.
Marianne was born on April 4, 1955 in Vancouver B.C. Having lived and worked in BC for many years, she continued her life in Acton ON, where she put her roots down. After a little break of 3 years in New Brunswick, she returned to Ontario about a year ago, where she was reunited with friends and the whole Kollenhoven family.
Marianne loved to travel with André and Marieke Tjaarda and their family to various places for winter sport and to warm destinations. Last but not least, her two cats, Skye and Misha, meant the world to her.
A private ceremony will be held at the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel, after which Marianne will be cremated. Her ashes will be spread out in Richmond, B.C. at a later date, so that she will be close to her parents and brother.
Memorial donations to Girl Guides of Canada would be appreciated, and may be made through the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel.
