Deloris ‘Doris’ Mae (Tilker) Matheson, our sweet and loving Mom & Ma, passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home, with Leslie and Hailie by her side, on Thursday, October 7, 2021, in her 89th year.
Dear wife of the late Gordon Matheson who predeceased her on January 27, 2012.
Mom was the biggest influence in our lives. She was greatly loved, and will be dearly missed by her children Brad and Debbie Matheson of Molesworth, and Leslie and Cor Groot of Dublin.
She was the biggest cheerleader and much-loved Ma of Lindsey and Chris White, Luc Matheson, Brady Siddall and Kelly Austin, Connor Groot and Bree Skinner, and Hailie and Bryden Medeiros. She was loved dearly by her great-granddaughter McKenna White, her loyal companion Boots, and 5 step-grandchildren and their families.
Sister-in-law of Janet Boudrie, and Marion and John Pring. Doris was a dear aunt to many special nieces and nephews, and a loyal friend and neighbour.
Predeceased by her parents Alexander and Clementine (Ebel) Tilker, aunt and uncle Edith and Howard Henry, brothers Frank ‘Bud’ Boudrie, and Bill Tilker, sister Donna Blough, brother-in-law and sisters-in-law Irma Biesel, and David and Muriel Matheson, and nephews Don Boudrie and Howard Blough.
Visitation was held at the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel on Monday, October 11th from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. A private family funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Charmila Ireland officiating. The service was live-streamed, and the link is available on the funeral home website.
Interment in Fairview Cemetery, Listowel.
