Donald Hugh Pugh

Passed away peacefully with his beloved wife of 59 years by his side on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at his residence in Milverton, Ontario. Donald was born 82 years ago in Milverton, a son of the late William and Helen (Atkin) Pugh.

Beloved husband of Ruthann (Lebold) Pugh, whom he married on July 21, 1962. Cherished father of Tim & Rosemary, Terry & Anita, and Trevor & Carrie. Devoted grandfather of Kaitlyn, Heidi & friend Konrad, Dana & friend Darcy, Dylan, Courtney & friend Josh, Jarret, and Ashley. Donald will be lovingly remembered by his brother, David & wife Barb Pugh, sister, Isabel Miotto, brother-in-law Howard Lebold and sisters-in-law Mary Ellen & husband Glenn Zehr and Katherine & husband Ken Roth as well as by his many nieces, nephews, and friends. Predeceased by brother-in-law John Miotto and sister-in-law Audrey Lebold.

Donald was a long-time member of St. Paul’s United Church, Milverton and was a church Elder. Donald had a passion for farming and spent his many years farming “Triple T Acres” and was a 4 H Leader to many. Donald was a social butterfly making many friends while driving school bus for the Kipfer’s, truck driving for Elgin Roth Transport, watching the Kitchener Rangers on Friday nights since 2012, attending many auctions, cutting grass, snowblowing, coffee group, watching the 4wheel Drives and following his grandchildren playing sports. Donald was a toy tractor collector, a puzzle maker and above all things in life he was a very proud Papa to his grandchildren.

Relatives and friends were invited to the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 7 Spencer Street, Milverton, on Friday, October 22, 2021, from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. A Funeral service led by Pastor Sonja Van De Hoef-Fraser took place in the chapel of the funeral home on Saturday, October 23 at 11:00 a.m. Interment followed in Greenwood Cemetery, Milverton.

As expressions of sympathy, donations would be accepted to the Alzheimer Society or St. Paul’s United Church, Milverton.
