The Wingham and Area Historical Society (WAHS) will hold a special meeting to honour Black History Month on Feb. 12 at the Alice Munro Library from 2 - 4 p.m.

A lengthy discussion was held during the North Huron regular council meeting on Feb. 3 after a report from the Director of Finance/Treasurer Chris Townes requested guidance on how to apply the new flat rate water/sewer rates to multi-unit residential buildings.

North Huron council positively responded to a request from Wingham resident Paul McGee, who appeared before them and requested that snow removal be added to a section of Minnie Street.

Members of the Lucknow and District Kinsmen Club have shared details on the planned construction of a new headquarters and community facility at Graceland.

The OPP is warning the public about individuals using the OPP’s non-emergency telephone number to legitimize fraudulent bank investigator scams.

The little community of Belmore, “The Hamlet with Heart”, is making good progress with plans for Homecoming 2025.  The list of activities is growing and so is enthusiasm! 

Huron County Council approved a request from Manager of Ontario Works and Children’s Services Cheryl Patience to enter into a five-year lease with the Exeter Lion’s Club.
