Following the GOJHL’s holiday hiatus, the Listowel Cyclones got back to work last weekend with a win and a loss to open the 2024 half of their regular season.

The Steve Kerr Memorial Complex will play host to a showcase of emerging youth talent over the next few days, as Wallace Minor Hockey will bring the 39th edition of the Bruce Williams Memorial Fun Days Jamboree to Listowel.

The Listowel Panthers hosted a volleyball tournament on Dec. 2-3 at LDSS. The team’s bake sale and silent auction also raised $900 for the breakfast clubs of Listowel schools. The Listowel Curling Club (LCC) honoured its longest-tenured member with a surprise gathering prior to the holiday season getting underway.

Despite having their 17-game point streak snapped on Dec. 21, the Listowel Cyclones were able to rebound with an overtime win the following night to close out their 2023 regular season schedule at the top of the GOJHL’s Midwestern Conference.
