The Wingham Ironmen got off to the start to 2024 they were hoping for last Saturday night, holding the Mitchell Hawks to 19 shots in a 4-1 victory.

The Listowel Curling Club (LCC) honoured its longest-tenured member with a surprise gathering prior to the holiday season getting underway.

Despite having their 17-game point streak snapped on Dec. 21, the Listowel Cyclones were able to rebound with an overtime win the following night to close out their 2023 regular season schedule at the top of the GOJHL’s Midwestern Conference.

In PJHL action, the Walkerton Capitals lost 6-2 when they hosted the Fergus Whalers in a rare Wednesday night game on Dec. 20. It was the last scheduled game of the year for the Capitals.
