SEAFORTH - Avon Maitland District School Board (AMDSB) trustees adopted the 2026 budget on Jan. 27. 

LISTOWEL - In two votes, North Perth Council approved the road closures for the 2026 Paddyfest parade route, as well as noise exemptions for the annual concert and other Irish shenanigans.

HOWICK - At its Jan. 27 regular meeting, council here approved entering into a transfer payment agreement with the Province of Ontario after successfully securing $16,800 through the Fire Protection Grant from the Ontario Fire Marshal’s office.

LISTOWEL - The Listowel Cyclones (10th in the Western Conference of the GOHL) played on home ice on Friday, Feb. 6 against the Strathroy Rockets (9th in the Western Conference of the GOHL), despite a winter storm that closed several roads.
