In the works for a couple of months now, council here is beginning to make final decisions on whether or not to proceed with building a daycare centre beside the township’s community centre.

After making some changes followings its first 2026 municipal budget meeting, council here reviewed the second draft budget at its Jan. 27 special meeting, which includes slightly lower tax rates.

Authorization to execute a purchase and sale agreement for the potential location of a future fire station, was discussed at the Jan. 27 township council meeting, which was held despite a heavy snowfall.

SEAFORTH - The Avon Maitland District School Board’s (AMDSB) Board of Trustees approved the purchase of two portables to replace units reaching end of service within its inventory, as well as the relocation of two portables to Listowel District Secondary School (LDSS).
