Local emergency responders were called to the scene of a two-vehicle motor collision just south of Gowanstown around 3 p.m. on March 20. At least one person was injured, while the cause of the crash remains unknown as of press time.

The Monkton Skating Club held its showcase on March 7 at the Elma-Logan Recreation Complex. The young skaters performed to songs from the popular kid’s movie, Encanto. The event saw skaters from all levels perform themed ice dances to the movie’s hit songs.
