Passed away unexpectedly at his residence in Milverton on Friday, October 28, 2022. Murray was born on the family farm located at RR#1 Newton, Ontario 81 years ago, a son of the late Lorne and Mamie (Edwards) Riddell.
Loving father of Debbie (Doug) Biesinger, Kevin (Sandy) Riddell and Mark (Christine) Riddell. Devoted grandfather of Natalie (Braden), Eric, Meghan (Brent), Kyle, Ian, Graeme, Ethan, Kaira, Jared and Lucas. Murray will be dearly missed by his brothers John (Dianne) Riddell, Mervin (Thelma) Riddell, sister-in-law Claudette Riddell, sister-in-law Cathy Riddell, brother-in-law Gid Jantzi, by his many nieces and nephews. Murray will be dearly missed by Joyce Riddell.
Predeceased by his parents, siblings Doris Riddell, Dale Riddell, Glen Riddell and Mary Jantzi.
Murray was a devoted and passionate farmer, whose heart stayed with the farm. He was a seed dealer for many years. He enjoyed snowmobiling and going to tractor pulls. He was a devoted family man never missing a hockey game or any other events the grandchildren were involved in. Murray was devoted to his community, providing a driving service and a helping hand to whoever asked. Murray enjoyed collecting household items and putting everything to use. He had a passion for tractors and enjoyed driving truck.
Relatives and friends were invited to the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 7 Spencer Street, Milverton, on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, from 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 p.m. The funeral service was held in the chapel of the funeral home on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Mark Fraser to officiate. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Milverton. A livestream will be available for those unable to attend.
As expressions of sympathy, donations would be accepted to the Milverton Food Bank or the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario and can be done through the funeral home.
