From Jan. 18, 1989: An apartment building in Walkerton, just north of Smith’s Market Square, was demolished last week to made way for a new funeral home. The property will be home to the new location of Tanner and Pearson Funeral Home. The building was razed by Total Demolition of Brussels, which reclaimed the white brick. From Jan. 18, 1989: – The beer has been brewed, tasted, tested and examined.  Ask the beer drinker what he thinks and his response “Not bad at all”.  There was little ceremony to mark the tapping of the first keg of locally brewed beer at the Hartley House in Walkerton on Monday.  That didn’t matter…
