LISTOWEL – Two people are facing numerous charges after a domestic incident involving three people in Listowel on Tuesday night.

Police were called to a residence for a domestic assault in progress on Davidson Avenue North just before 9 p.m. on Oct. 20.

Police say that one person had been assaulted with a metal object, and when a third person stepped in to help, another assault occurred.

All three parties involved received minor injuries during the incident.

Police have laid charges against a 17-year-old and a 20-year-old North Perth resident.

The 17-year-old, who cannot be identified under provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was charged with assault with a weapon and breach of recognizance.

The 20-year-old was charged with assault, four counts of fail to comply with probation order, and two counts of fail to comply with release order.

Perth County OPP say the identity of the 20-year-old accused will not be released “due to the domestic nature of the incident.”

The two accused parties were remanded into custody and will be appearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford at a later date to answer to the charges.
