The Slocan Ramblers to perform at Victoria Jubilee Hall

WALKERTON – The Slocan Ramblers are coming to Victoria Jubilee Hall.

This Toronto-based bluegrass band have been making waves in the roots music scene since they started performing in 2011. They met in the music program at Humber College and have gone on to create four albums and a strong following across North America and beyond.

The 2020 IBMA Momentum Band of the Year Award winner and 2019 JUNO Award nominees are Canada’s bluegrass band to watch. Rooted in tradition, fearlessly creative and possessing a bold, dynamic sound, The Slocans have become a leading light of today’s acoustic music scene. They have a reputation for energetic live shows, impeccable musicianship, and an uncanny ability to convert anyone within earshot into a lifelong fan.

The Slocans have been winning over audiences from Merlefest to RockyGrass and everywhere in between. Last summer they were a hit at Lucknow’s Music in the Fields, and they have played across North America, as well as Ireland and Britain.

“They play so fast and so together that there ought to be a warning sign near the stage: ‘Professional musicians — do not attempt,’” says the Saskatoon Star Phoenix.

Whether you are a fan of bluegrass music, or just appreciate great musicianship, take the opportunity to enjoy an evening with The Slocan Ramblers on Friday, Feb. 3 at 7:30 p.m. at Victoria Jubilee Hall in Walkerton.

Tickets start at $35.40 (plus taxes and fees) are available online at Ticketscene.ca or from the Victoria Jubilee Hall box office at 519-881-2826
