Scone crokinole players attend World Championships

On Saturday, June 6 a number of Scone players attended the 25th edition of the World Crokinole Championship in Tavistock, ON. In attendance this year were players from the First Nations, Japan, Hungary, Germany, Australia, 18 US States and seven Provinces of Canada for a total of 430 players. Also on display was the worlds largest Crokinole board, measuring 10 feet in diameter, and weighing 285 pounds. It was available to play on as well for a short time. The World Crokinole Championship is held on the 1st Saturday of June each year. Only five players have attended all 25 editions of the World Crokinole Championship.
