Restaurant rejection leads to feces fiasco in Georgian Bluffs

GEORGIAN BLUFFS – An Arran-Elderslie resident is facing multiple charges after being accused of defecating on the floor of a Georgian Bluffs restaurant last week.

On Nov. 20 at 6:04 a.m., officers from the Grey Bruce OPP detachment responded to a threats complaint at a restaurant located on Highway 6 and 21.

Staff told police that a customer had entered the restaurant before the dining room opened to the public. Staff asked the customer to leave, at which point police say they “became irate” and defecated on the floor of the restaurant. Police say that the accused also threatened an employee before leaving the restaurant.

Officers found the suspect near the restaurant and had to use a taser during the arrest.

The accused, 43-year-old Arin Vleck of Arran-Elderslie, was charged with mischief and uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm.

The accused was been released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in Owen Sound court on Jan. 14, 2021 to answer to the charges.
