WALKERTON – Race Team #37 has a tradition of using its winnings to support charity.
“This year we raised $5,540 racing and raising money by donations for Easter Seals and individuals with serious illnesses,” said Angela Freiburger.
“Since we started racing 13 years ago we have given away a grand total of $98,582.83!” she said, adding that everyone who has benefitted from those donations is sincerely thankful.
“We have helped children in the Easter Seals program to be able to be mobile, along with various other needs. We have also helped many individuals who have serious illnesses with such things as parking fees, fuel to be able to go to appointments in the city as well as meals and other needs,” said Freiburger.
“Every day, we are extremely thankful for our Team #37 crew and all of our sponsors that help us to be able to give away all of our winnings.”
