ARTHUR – A special holiday shopping experience is set to come to Arthur Nov. 23-24.
A temporary pop-up shop will transform the currently vacant space at 497 Smith Street (Unit B) in Arthur into a one-of-a-kind shopping experience, featuring flowers, wreaths, lavender products, plants, art, décor, wood products and holiday items.
“The two-day event will feature beautiful products that can’t normally be purchased in-store,” said Stephanie Craig, an Arthur resident who is hosting the event. “I want to bring a unique experience to our community. We have some fantastic entrepreneurs in town, and I feel I can add to the momentum.”
Products from four additional local artists and makers will be featured in the shop: Angi Roberts (Tray Bien) from Guelph, D’elle Calhoun (Inside Out Art) from Chesley, Patrick Saunders (Saunders Constructions) from Arthur, and Ashley DeMarte (Livescape) from Arthur.
Craig is hosting the shop under the brand of her new local company, Tullamore Lavender Co.
“The pop-up will be a great way to see what products are of interest to the local community. In order to plan my spring planting, I need to know which lavender products and wildflowers people like most.”
Craig is hoping her shop will attract locals and shoppers from outside of town and is encouraging people to “make a day of it and explore all the fantastic shops in the area.”
The pop-up shop will be open on Saturday, Nov. 23 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 24 from noon to 4 p.m.
