Poor weather believed to be factor in school bus crash

MORRIS-TURNBERRY – Huron County OPP are still investigating a single-vehicle crash south of Bluevale earlier this week, but believe that poor weather played a factor.

Around 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 28, emergency personnel responded to the crash on Clyde Line. According to police, a school bus was travelling northbound on Clyde Line and left the roadway, striking a residential driveway. Police report the bus was transporting seven elementary-aged children to a Wingham school.

Three of the seven children on board were injured. One was airlifted to a London hospital due to more serious injuries, while the two other children were taken to local hospital. The driver was also taken to hospital and treated as a precaution.

Police say all of the injuries sustained were determined to be non-life-threatening.
