Police charge Listowel man in Memorial Park vandalism incident

LISTOWEL – Police have arrested one individual after an investigation into vandalism at Listowel Memorial Park last month.

Perth County OPP received a report of graffiti spray painted around Listowel Memorial Park and nearby buildings on Nov. 18. At least four different spots were spray painted with purple and black paint, mostly derogatory and insulting words and comments.

On Dec. 10, police arrested and charged 32-year-old James Gallan of Listowel with mischief under $5,000.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at Stratford court at a later date to answer to the charge.
