Pickup truck, bank cards stolen from Bluevale home

Police release photo of person of interest in this case, asking public for assistance

NORTH HURON – Huron County OPP is actively investigating a recent theft of a pickup truck and some subsequent unauthorized bank card transactions.

Police received a report from a Bluevale resident on Jan. 10 that their blue 2014 Ford F-150 had been stolen out of their driveway on George Street. The owner reported that inside the truck was a purse containing various pieces of identification and bank cards.

The victim reported that the bank cards were used to make unauthorized purchases at three separate businesses in Wingham. The transactions took place between 5:14 a.m. and 5:30 a.m., totalling $366.

Police have secured a surveillance photo of the person of interest and would like some assistance in identifying this person.
