Pedestrian killed in Poole identified

PERTH EAST – Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) continues to investigate a fatal collision that took place last week in the hamlet of Poole.

At approximately 6:39 p.m. on Nov. 30, Perth County OPP, Perth County Paramedic Services and the Perth East Fire Department responded to Perth Road 121 in the hamlet of Poole for a crash involving a pedestrian that was struck by a southbound pickup truck.

The involved pedestrian was transported from the scene by ambulance to a local hospital where she was later pronounced deceased.

The deceased has since been identified as Mary Jantzi, 67, from Perth East.

Members from the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management & Enforcement (TIME) Team attended the scene to assist with the collision investigation.
