NORTH PERTH – Paddyfest 2020 could be the final event to take place in the Listowel Memorial Arena.
North Perth council gave the Kinsmen Club of Listowel their blessing to use the facility one last time during Paddyfest 2020 on Monday night.
In a letter to council from Paddyfest chairs Ben Zavitz and Kurt Forrest, the Kinsmen Club plans on hosting a country concert at the venue on Friday, March 20 and a homecoming-themed event on Saturday, March 21.
The Friday night concert will be headlined by Jade Eagleson, the winner of the 2017 Boots and Hearts Emerging Artist showcase, beating out a lengthy list of other talented artists.
Eagleson has a record deal with Universal Music and his debut, “Got Your Name On It”, has been certified Gold. The song garnered over 41 million global streams and peaked at #6 on Canadian Country Radio.
The Kinsmen also received council’s blessing to host a Social Gaming Night and Cystic Fibrosis Information Night at the Listowel Kin Station on Friday, March 13. The event will include 15 blackjack tables, one money wheel, and one Crown and Anchor wheel.
This is an event that has been a part of past Paddyfest events, however as part of their application to the province for a license to host a gaming event, the Kinsmen needed a letter of approval from local council.
Paddyfest 2020 will take place from March 7-21, 2020 at various venues in Listowel.
