Wanda Mennie of Listowel, passed away peacefully at the Listowel Memorial Hospital on Friday, August 21, 2026 in her 78th year. Loved daughter of the late Clarence and Nora (Widmeyer) Mennie. Loved sister of her brothers the late Robert Mennie (2021) and the late Leonard Mennie (1989). Wanda will be fondly remembered by her lifelong best friend Diane Hymers and her husband John of Listowel and their family, Toby Hymers, Trevor Hymers Tammy and Adam Talbot and their children Kylia, Alissa and Summer. Fondly remembered by Chris Park, Bonnie and Mike Hinzs and Anna Lannin. Predeceased by her Godparents Alfred and Ila Widemeyer, as well as her Grandparents Cecil and Rosa Mennie and Oscar and Christine Widmeyer.
Wanda was employed at Campbell Soups in Listowel for 40 years.
Visitation was held at the Heritage Funeral Home Palmerston on Monday, August 24, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Fr. Kevin Cull will conducted the Funeral Service in the Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 a.m. followed by interment in the family plot in Palmerston Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy donations to The Kidney Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
