Nelson and Viola Weber

Our parents, Nelson and Viola (Bauman) Weber of Atwood, passed away in a tragic car accident, on Saturday, October 4, 2025.  They leave behind a legacy of unwavering faith, quiet strength, and deep devotion to others.

Both raised on farms, Nelson and Viola shared a love for the country, hard work, and a commitment to the Lord that would shape their lives together. Their marriage on June 4, 1977 was a partnership rooted in faith, and together they raised four sons with love, discipline, and a deep sense of responsibility. Their lives were a testament to what it means to live with intention, humility, and love. They will be deeply missed, but their legacy lives on in the hearts of their children, grandchildren, church family, and the many lives they touched.

They are survived by their sons, Dan & Christine Weber of Kincardine, Rob & Cheryl Weber of Gowanstown, Rick & Karen Weber of Atwood, and Phil & Marie Weber of San Diego, and by their grandchildren, Mark, Sarah, Ethan, Faith, Maria, Cameron (Myah), Joel, Rita, Silas, Breanna, Timothy (Sarah), Joseph (Chenia), Jonathan, Benjamin, Alyssa, Seth, Katie, Micah.

Loved and remembered also by their siblings Gordon Bauman, Clare & Grace Bauman, Lorna & Laverne Martin, Ron Bauman, Noah & Pauline Weber, Miriam Weber, Mary & Jack Gault, and by sister-in-law Donna Weber.

Nelson was predeceased by his parents Emerson and Elizabeth (Frey) Weber and by his brother Owen Weber, and Viola was predeceased by her parents Rufus and Magdalena (Gingrich) Bauman, sister Verna Frey and husband Clarence, and by their sister-in-law Dianne Bauman.

Visitation will be held at the Listowel Evangelical Missionary Church on Friday from 1:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at 11:00 a.m.   The service will be livestreamed the link available on the funeral home website.

Memorial donations to Emmaus Correspondence Centre Canada (MSC Canada) or to a charity of your choice would be appreciated, and may be made through the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel.
