Johanna Antonia ‘Joanne’ Los of Atwood passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at the age of 56.
Dear wife of Tony Los. Beloved mother of Dirk & Gillian, Niek, Rick, Natalie, and the late Mark Los. Grandmother of Abigail, Riley and Lexi.
Cherished sister of Geetje & Matthijs van Dijk, Nico & Jolanda Spinhoven, Bert & Helga Spinhoven, sister-in-law of Maartje Los & Bob Vas, Rijmert & Anneke Los, nieces and nephews and family and friends in Netherlands.
Joanne was born and raised on a farm in de Bilt, a small town in the Netherlands. After high school she worked in an agricultural accountant office. After marriage in 1993 to Tony Los, they took over the farm of the Los family in Vleuten. In March 1996, together with their son Dirk, they immigrated to Canada and started Bramalie Farms in Atwood. Joanne was a dedicated farmer.
She was an active member of Bethel CRC. She had a passion for quilting.
Joanne will be remembered for her kindness and generosity.
Visitation was held at Bethel Christian Reformed Church, Listowel on Tuesday, April 14 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., where the funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Elma Centre Cemetery, Atwood. The service was live-streamed and the link available on the funeral home website.
Memorial donations to Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated, and may be made through Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel.
