Elaine Catherine Ann (Green) Roth of Listowel passed away peacefully at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Saturday, July 11, 2026, in her 70th year.
Wife of Dan Roth.
Mother of Kelsey & Blayne Thompson of Eden, and Kyle Roth & Megan Rood of Elma Twp., and Nana to Scotland and Hollis.
Sister of Linda Stead of Waterloo, and sister-in-law of Fran Schill of Listowel, Cindy Elliott of Waterloo, Laurie & Paul Brink of Vancouver Island, and Darcy Roth & Missy Bell of Bayfield.
Predeceased by her parents Clayton & Winnie (Coates) Green, brothers Larry ‘Chuck’ Green, and Ron Green, and brother-in-law Butch Stead.
Elaine was born and raised in Listowel. She worked at Smith’s ValuMart for 26 years where she met Dan, whom she later married. After Smith’s closed in 1995, Elaine started cleaning houses, and in doing that she formed many friendships right up until her retirement in February 2026. Elaine & Dan attend Listowel Evangelical Missionary Church where she enjoyed volunteering and sharing her faith.
Visitation will be held at the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel on Thursday, July 16 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Listowel Evangelical Missionary Church on Friday, July 17, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. The service will be live-streamed, and the link available on the funeral home website.
Interment in Fairview Cemetery, Listowel.
