North Perth resident charged in Centre Wellington break-in on Sept. 3

CENTRE WELLINGTON – A North Perth resident is among those charged in relation to a break and enter at an abandoned residence in Centre Wellington that took place earlier this month.

On Sept. 3 around 9:40 a.m., Wellington County OPP responded to the reported crime on the Eighth Line of Pilkington Township. It was reported the suspects damaged a lock to gain access to the building and were still present. Police located the suspects and took them into custody.

Two individuals were charged by police – Khoral Hare, 28, of Waterloo and Maxwell Gerald Kirkwood, 31, of North Perth.

Hare has been charged with break and enter into a dwelling house, and mischief under $5,000 contrary to the Criminal Code.

Kirkwood has been charged with possession of break-in tools, mischief under $5,000, fail to comply with release order, and break and enter a dwelling house contrary to the Criminal Code.

Both accused are scheduled to appear in Guelph court on Oct. 12 to answer to the charges.
