Milverton Public School vandalized, police looking for suspects

MILVERTON – The Perth County OPP is asking the public for assistance in solving an act of vandalism at Milverton Public School.

Sometime between July 9-13, the back of the public school, located on Mill Street East, Milverton, was spray painted. Unknown suspects used red spray paint to write the words “TRANS LIVES MATTER” and “ABOLISH THE POLICE.”

“Police would like to remind everyone that graffiti is not art – it is mischief,” stated the OPP in a press release.

Mischief is defined by the OPP as the wilful destruction and damage of property. It is a Criminal Code offence, with a maximum penalty of up to ten years in prison.
