BRUCE COUNTY – Families across Grey-Bruce, weeks before school was set to start, have been told a contract has been reached regarding bus services for students.

TEESWATER – South Bruce council has approved a $59,408 roof repair for the Mildmay-Carrick Recreation Centre, choosing to fix an active leak while waiting to learn whether provincial funding will help pay for a larger roof replacement in the future.

TEESWATER – Economic development work in South Bruce has brought new businesses, funding and community partnerships to the municipality during the first half of 2026, while several downtown improvement programs have already reached their funding limits for the year.

TEESWATER – Local entrepreneurs could receive up to $7,000 toward starting or expanding a business through a program that combines a Bruce County grant with additional municipal funding. 

TEESWATER – The Municipality of South Bruce is joining a formal agreement with neighbouring municipalities, health organizations and community partners to support the recruitment and retention of physicians across northern Huron and southern Bruce counties.

TEESWATER – Winter and spring recreation programs in South Bruce attracted hundreds of participants through fitness classes, community programs, youth activities and special events, according to the Municipality’s latest activity report.

TEESWATER – Finding a new integrity commissioner may prove challenging for South Bruce, as staff prepare to seek proposals after hearing some firms do not have the capacity to take on additional municipalities.

TEESWATER – The Teeswater Medical Centre is expanding its available treatment space after South Bruce council approved renovations that will allow a tenant to add services and accommodate new medical equipment. 

TEESWATER – Delayed infrastructure projects, revised funding plans and updated reserve projections are among the changes included in South Bruce’s amended 2025 budget, approved by council July 28.
