HURON/PERTH - As the holiday season begins, Huron Perth Public Health (HPPH) is reminding residents of the actions they can take to reduce the spread of respiratory illnesses such as COVID-19, influenza (“the flu”) and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV).

LISTOWEL - Local politicians and business leaders got a firsthand look at two homegrown success stories in Perth County on Thursday   Nov.  19, with a tour of Energrow Inc. and Feige’s Gourmet Dressings.

HOWICK - At its Nov. 18 meeting, council here declared the township’s 2025 Vermeer BC1000XL diesel woodchipper to be surplus, and directed staff to proceed with the disposal by purchase and sale agreement with the Town of Minto.

HOWICK - Council here pulled an item out of its consent agenda on Nov. 18 regarding Ontario Municipal Partnership Fund (OMPF) and Ontario Community Infrastructure Fund (OCIF) funding for 2026.

WROXETER - Brightly-decorated fire trucks and floats lit up the night for the annual Wroxeter Santa Claus Parade on Dec. 5.

LISTOWEL - The Listowel Memorial Hospital Foundation recently announced a major $9,000 donation from Intact Insurance Company through their Community Impact Partnership Program.

LISTOWEL - Bakelaar Jewellers hosted a Waterford Mastercraft Crystal Cutting event at the Listowel store on Dec. 6.
