TORONTO – Last week OLG reported that one ticket worth $500,000 was sold for the Jan. 7 Lotto Max draw, and on Jan. 16 it was revealed by OLG that the holder of the winning ticket is from Listowel.

In a press release, OLG announced Michelle Caldwell of Listowel matched seven of seven numbers to win the prize.

This is a first-time major win for the married, mother of one.

“I checked my ticket using the OLG website and I was hyperventilating,” Caldwell said while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her cheque on Jan. 10.

According to the release, Caldwell plans to share her winnings with family and donate to charity.

“This feels amazing – it’s life changing,” she said.

The winning ticket was purchased at Shoppers Drug Mart on Wallace Avenue in Listowel.
