Kitchener driver charged with racing

NORTH PERTH – The Perth County Ontario Provincial Police has charged a Kitchener driver after they were recorded speeding more than 50 km/h over the limit in North Perth.

On Sept. 4 just after 12 a.m., police stopped a vehicle on Perth Line 86, after it was found to be travelling in excess of 135 km/h in an 80km/h limit zone.

As a result, Kahlid Haredo, 29, of Kitchener, has been charged with race motor vehicle – excessive speed.

A seven-day driving suspension and 14-day vehicle impoundment were initiated as per statute. The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford at a later date to answer to the charges.
