HURON COUNTY – First responders across Huron County are asking for help sourcing personal protective equipment (PPE) as front line workers fight COVID-19.
In a press release on Monday night, Huron County Emergency Services put a call out to local businesses and organizations with available PPE supplies for immediate use by paramedics, fire, police, long-term care facilities and hospitals to call Emergency Services at 519-524-8394 ext. 3507 (Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Those contacting the County are asked to state the number and types of PPE in stock for purchase or donation. Huron County staff will arrange pick up times and locations.
Huron County Emergency Services are looking for the following supplies:
- N95 masks, model number 3M18710, 3M9210 or 3MVFlex.
- Other models of N95 may be used after assessment by County staff.
- Nitrile gloves.
- Disposable impermeable gowns.
- General surgical masks.
- Hand sanitizer and disinfectant with a DIN#.
