HPCDSB invests $2.3 million into ventilation systems

All Huron-Perth Catholic schools will have improved ventilation systems

HURON-PERTH – The Huron-Perth Catholic District School Board (HPCDSB) announced in an Aug. 31 media release that $4.1 million of capital investments will be completed in the Huron-Perth communities.

Director of Education, Chris N. Roehrig, wrote in the release that the majority of the capital investments is a $2.3 million investment into ventilation systems.

“With the health and safety of our students and staff in mind, at the conclusion of this summer’s projects, all Huron-Perth Catholic schools will have benefited from investments in ventilation systems,” the release states.

According to the release, all Catholic schools across the region will have full mechanical ventilation and high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filtration systems in every classroom.  The HPCDSB has deployed 348 HEPA filtration systems district-wide.

The HPCDSB is a Catholic school board operating 19 Catholic schools in Huron and Perth counties in the communities of Clinton, Dashwood, Dublin, Exeter, Goderich, Listowel, Seaforth, Sebringville, St. Marys, Stratford, Wingham, and Zurich.
