LISTOWEL – A traffic stop resulted in drug charges for four people in Listowel.
Just after 4 p.m. on Aug. 22, a Perth County OPP officer conducted a traffic stop on Campbell Street East for a stop sign violation.
According to police, the driver of the vehicle was found to be a suspended driver. The driver and occupants were also in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine, with an estimated value of approximately $1,000.
The four occupants of the vehicle – 33-year-old Jordan Brambell and 36-year-old Douglas Thomas of Waterloo, and 35-year-old Tracey-Lynn Duncan and 34-year-old Devon Adair-Simpson of Kitchener – were charged with possession of a Schedule I substance – methamphetamine.
Brambell was also charged with driving while under suspension.
The accused parties were released from custody and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford at a later date to answer to the charges.
