Foot pursuit in Listowel ends with two arrested for break and enter

LISTOWEL – Two people are facing charges after being accused of breaking into a residence in Listowel.

Perth County OPP say they received a report of a break and enter in progress on Nov. 23 just before 3 a.m. According to police, the suspects had broken into the laundry room of an apartment building on Inkerman Street West, allegedly causing damage to a washing machine.

According to a press release, when police arrived at the scene the suspects were seen fleeing on foot from the scene. Police were able to arrest one suspect immediately, and located and arrested the second suspect a short time later.

The accused, 25-year-old Randi Elizabeth Sharpin and 26-year-old Damien Yorke-Thomas, both of North Perth, have been charged with break, enter dwelling house – commit indictable offence and mischief under $5,000.

They were released from custody and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford at a later date to answer to the charges.
