ELDERSLIE TOWNSHIP – A single-vehicle crash on Concession 2 in Elderslie Township on Jan. 30 has claimed the life of one man.
South Bruce OPP received a report of the crash at 4:18 p.m. on Jan. 30. OPP attended the crash with Bruce County Paramedics and members of the Chesley Fire Department. Upon arrival, emergency personnel found that a pick-up truck had left the road and struck a hydro pole.
Police say their investigation revealed that the truck was heading eastbound on Concession 2 when it struck a bridge abutment and a hydro pole before coming to rest in the ditch.
Police have identified the deceased as Kevin Warren, 41, of Elderslie Township.
OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators are assisting the South Bruce OPP with this investigation.
Concession 2 was closed between Sideroad 15 and Sideroad 20 in Elderslie Township for the safety of emergency responders. It has since reopened to traffic.
