A masked and gloved group of cooks, headed by Marlene Bross Durrer, provided a delicious meal to the Lions who were seated only two at each eight-foot table.

The park is now being rented out again and details are on the Formosa Lions website. Lion Peter Evans is looking into upgrading the internet at the park, as well as at the Formosa Hall and Recreation Complex.

The Fall Lions fundraisers will see some changes. Lion Joan Borho reported the November 2021 Formosa Craft Show has been cancelled because of the threat of a fourth wave of COVID and because of reduced capacity at the hall.

Past President Lion Frank Jacobi presented four awards that have been hanging around waiting for this pandemic to allow an in-person meeting.

Lion Jennifer gave an update on what is happening at the district level. She spoke about how “to be recognized as a district” the district needs 1,250 members. Our district falls considerably short of that and she is encouraging clubs to please invite new members to join the clubs.  Lion Jennifer announced that the Past District Governor Bill French’s appreciation day will be held in Shelburne on Oct. 17 from 2 to 4 p.m.
