Chesley man arrested in Fergus, facing multiple charges

FERGUS – A Chesley man is facing multiple charges after being arrested by Wellington County OPP earlier this week.

Wellington County OPP say they received “information regarding an individual who was possibly breaching a probation order” on Nov. 21.

According to police, the subject of the complaint was located on Strathallan Street in Fergus and placed under arrest.

The accused, 33-year-old Shawn Irwin Barret Dyer, was charged with three counts of fail to comply with a probation order, failure to comply with undertaking, and unauthorized possession of a weapon.

Dyer is scheduled to appear in Guelph court at a later date to answer to the charges.
