HOWICK TOWNSHIP – On Sept. 28, 2022, the Howick Fire Department responded to a collision involving a stolen truck and trailer. According to a report from Josh Kestner, Howick fire chief and bylaw enforcement officer, the response fees totaled $4,644.30.
January unemployment rate increases to 4.8 per cent in region
WALKERTON – In January, the unemployment rate for the Stratford-Bruce Peninsula Economic Region increased by 0.4 percentage points to 4.8 per cent. The provincial unemployment rate increased by 0.2 percentage point to 5.8 per cent, both unadjusted for seasonality.
