Huron-Kinloss council passes 2022 municipal budget

Huron-Kinloss gave third and final reading to this year’s budget at the March 21 meeting of council. The grand total to be raised from taxation is $9,394,963.

NWMO donates $3,500 to the Teeswater-Culross Firefighters Association

The Nuclear Waste Management Organization (NWMO) has donated $3,500 to the Teeswater-Culross Firefighters Association to support ongoing equipment upgrades. The donation will help support the purchase of additional equipment, training materials and tooling.

Huron County OPP say they have recorded an increase, once again, in the number of impaired operation charges for the 2021 calendar year. A total of 102 drivers were charged with impaired operation charges in 2021, compared to 93 drivers in 2020, an increase of 10 per cent.
