The Provincial Junior Hockey League community continues to mourn the tragic passing of one of its own this week, after standout Wingham Ironmen defenseman Turner McKenzie was killed in a single-vehicle collision on July 15.

With a dedicated group of hockey personnel, a charged up executive and many local businesses for sponsors, Wingham was granted a franchise in the Ontario Hockey League in 1973.

School is officially out for the summer and Dedric Grimes (goaltender) and Cody Cook were quick to take advantage, getting together for some one-on-one road hockey at Listowel’s Wilson Park on June 28.
