Cash, guns, jewellery worth $180,000 stolen from Bluevale home

BLUEVALE – Police are hoping the public can help them solve a recent break-in and theft from a home in Bluevale.

Police say that sometime between Dec. 26 and Dec. 30, 2019 someone broke into a Margaret Street home through a patio door. Once inside, those responsible ransacked the residence and broke into a gun locker.

Three firearms were reported stolen from the locker:  

·        A Browning Cynergy 12 gauge shotgun with a brown stock and a silver barrel;

·        A Browning Bar II Safari 300 semi-automatic with a brown wooden stock; and

·        A CJZ replica AK47 with a folding stock.

Police also reported that approximately $180,000 worth of high value jewellery was stolen. The stolen pieces consisted of a large white 14 karat gold cross with diamonds, a ladies’ ring with a blue stone and multiple diamonds, a men’s 14 karat gold ring with diamonds and other assorted diamond chains. 

A quantity of cash was also stolen.
