Bruce County Library introduces Playaways and Wonderbooks

BRUCE COUNTY – Bruce County Public Library is introducing its new audiobook collection, Playaways and Wonderbooks, by Launchpad. These two products offer a new twist on audiobooks.

Wonderbooks are a read-along book designed for youth, unlike anything you have experienced, containing a print book with a ready-to-play audiobook inside. Kids press play and then read along. Once they are done, they can switch their Wonderbook to learning mode to discuss the story they have just read. Wonderbooks come in various styles from picture books, levelled readers, nonfiction, and Wonderbook Creations made specifically for the Wonderbook catalogue.

Playaway is a pre-loaded audiobook that gives way to portability and the freedom to listen to your audiobook anytime and anywhere. They are small, durable, and require no additional devices or Wi-Fi to play. The easy-to-use controls allow listeners to skip chapters, fast forward, and control the play speed. Connect your headphones directly to the Playaway and enjoy bestsellers and new releases, with new titles coming in regularly.
