Bruce County asks local businesses, organizations to donate PPE supplies

BRUCE COUNTY – First responders across Bruce County are asking for help sourcing personal protective equipment (PPE) as frontline workers fight COVID-19.

Local businesses and organizations that have PPE supplies available for immediate use by paramedics, fire, police, long-term care facilities and hospitals are asked to call Bruce County Environmental Services at 519-881-1291 (Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) or email info@brucecounty.on.ca with “PPE Supplies” as the subject line.

Those contacting the County are asked to state the number and types of PPE in stock for purchase or donation. Bruce County staff will arrange pick up times and locations.

Bruce County says the following supplies are needed immediately:

  • N95 masks, model number 3M18710, 3M9210 or 3MVFlex.
  • Other models of N95 may be used after assessment by County staff.
  • Nitrile gloves.
  • Disposable impermeable gowns.
  • General surgical masks.
  • Hand sanitizer and disinfectant with a DIN#.
