Brockton teen charged with stunt driving

BROCKTON – A Brockton teen is without their licence and vehicle for a few days.

According to South Bruce OPP, around 8:20 p.m. on May 15 an officer observed a vehicle travelling “at a high rate of speed along Highway 9 in the Municipality of Brockton.”

Police say the vehicle was displayed on radar at 161 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone.

The driver, an 18-year-old from Brockton, was charged by police with race a motor vehicle and drive with no insurance.

A charge for stunt driving includes an immediate 30-day driver’s license suspension and a 14-day vehicle impoundment.
